Synod Vacancies

Do you feel called to be more involved in the work of the synod and the wider URC?

Do you have time and skills to offer?

We currently have a number of volunteer vacancies and are looking for people with ideas and energy to help guide the work of the synod, be a representative on wider groups, work with us on mission and advocate for marginalised groups.

Take a look at the roles below and if something strikes a chord, fill in an application form. Each role description tells you exactly what is required in terms of meeting attendance and time commitment.

In line with current URC policy, we are introducing Safer Recruitment practices for all our volunteer roles. Ideally, this means completing an application form, but we don’t want that to be a barrier so if you would prefer to apply in another way (e.g. by answering the questions in a video recording) then please get in touch and let us know.

You will be invited for an informal conversation about the role and whether you are a good fit. If you are offered the role, references will be taken up.

If you have any questions or would value a conversation before submitting your application, please contact the Synod Clerk.
