This year’s Big Day Out will take the form of a festival in a day, exploring aspects of what it means to be followers of Jesus in the twenty-first century.

There will be opportunities to explore a wide range of activities throughout the day into which people may dip as they wish.  As well as the chance to participate in music, story-telling and craft, listen to talks and contribute to discussions, there will also be quiet space and the opportunity to meet friends old and new.

The day will conclude with Holy Communion in the main hall, commencing at 3pm.

Tea and coffee will available from 10.15am in Main Hall and the Montgomery Pavilion, and will continue to be available free of charge in both venues throughout the day, until 2.30pm.

All participants will need to bring their own packed lunch with them as there will be no facilities for purchasing food on the site.

Identify someone in your church to start gathering together the names of those who are planning on attending. Remember that tickets are free!

Registration can be completed in one of two ways:

1. Online (note that online bookings can be made by individuals, or by one designated person on behalf of an entire church party. One e-mail address can be entered for the entire party, or individual e-mail address for participants, as you wish).

2. Paper registration can be done using the registration form (please download and print as many as you need). When complete, please post or e-mail to Adrian Bulley, The United Reformed Church National Synod of Wales, Minster Road, Roath, Cardiff. CF23 5AS. e-mail: adrian.bulley.urcwales@urc.org.uk.

Whether you register online or by post, please aim to complete registration by Tuesday 28th May.

Each church in the Synod has been given a large blank poster with instructions about how you might use that to represent how your church is Walking the Way. What has been helpful? What sustains your discipleship? How do you see the future? Please be creative in using the available space.

Don’t forget to arrange for someone from your church (or a neighbouring church in the unlikely event that no one’s going to be there from yours) to take your completed poster to the Big Day Out where they will all be displayed for people to view.

We are planning the Big Day Out to be an event for all the family.

For reasons of safeguarding, under 18s will remain the responsibility of the adults who bring them and will need to carry a signed consent form on their person at all times.
