Beulah URC Community Garden Goes Global with Ripple Effect

Beulah’s congregation has twinned its community garden at Canolfan Beulah Rhiwbina, North Cardiff with a community garden in rural Africa. This scheme is promoted by “The Ripple Effect” a charity that is based in Bath.

Ann Hatton from the Ripple Effect took part in one of our services and gave an inspirational insight into the work of the charity. Ripple Effect supports smallholders in rural Africa by promoting sustainable farming practices that help adapt to climate change in these countries.

Garden twinning forms part of Beulah’s Eco initiatives. In addition to twinning the church garden (£120) several members of the congregation have also twinned their own personal gardens (£60).
