The Children and Youth Development Officer’s role is to ensure that churches, their staff and those who act as leaders are encouraged, enabled and effective in their work with children and young people and to ensure this takes place in a safe environment.
Judy is available to support churches through training and development of new or existing work and to support, encourage and empower children and young people to take a lead role within their local churches and within the Synod. She is also the Deputy Safeguarding Officer for the Synod.
Every week, Judy sends an email with events and information, including Families on Faith Adventures at Home – a free URC resource to help families to worship and pray together and develop their faith. It is adaptable for junior church use and children’s groups. If you would like to join the circulation list, please email Judy.
