Rivertown Project Update

Rivertown URC, Shotton, is showing what’s possible when vision, partnership and faith come together. Over the past year, with support from the Synod Support Team, they have been developing their inspiring Hope on the High Street project.

This ambitious, multi-million pound redevelopment, supported by partners including Flintshire County Council and the Welsh Government, will transform the church into a vibrant hub serving the whole community. Rooted in a desire to reflect the love of Jesus in practical ways, the project will open doors wider than ever before, offering space for local groups, services and connection.

This summer marks an exciting new chapter as building work begins. During this time, Rivertown URC will temporarily relocate to the former Bryn Tirion School, continuing their ministry alongside the many groups who call the church home.

This project is also a powerful example of what can be achieved with the right support. The Synod Support Team has worked closely with Rivertown throughout the journey—and they are ready to help other churches explore similar opportunities.

If you’re wondering how your church building could better serve your community, why not start a conversation?
