Members of Trinity Church, Llanidloes, are delighted with a beautiful new path which has improved access to their Grade II*-listed church.
The new smooth, step-free route provides equal access to the main chapel via the side of the building. The work included lowering the large step beneath the front gate, making it easier for everyone to access the church.
Creating the new path has been a two-year project, with careful planning required because the entire exterior of the church is Grade II* listed. A local architectural firm provided the specialist knowledge and experience needed to complete the work.
New lighting has also been embedded into the path, helping to make the route safer and easier to navigate, particularly during the darker winter months.
The members of Trinity expressed their thanks to Claire Boot, Property Officer, for her support throughout the project.
With the work now complete, the church hopes the improved access will support its continuing mission and ministry within Llanidloes and beyond.
“Our prayer is that we can now concentrate on our main task of mission and ministry to our community and the wider world. Our joy is that, especially in the dark winter months, there will literally be more light for our path!”
