On Wednesday 9 April, the Synod’s Finance & Property Board and Trust met at St John’s United Reformed Church in Tenby for its annual on-the-road meeting — and were warmly welcomed with fresh Welsh cakes, straight from the church hall kitchen!
This special gathering is part of our ongoing commitment to connect the work of the board with the life of our local churches. While most meetings take place at the Synod Office in Cardiff, once a year the board travels to a different location within the Synod. This allows us to strengthen relationships, learn more about our congregations, and see first-hand the varied ministries taking place across Wales.
At St John’s, board members had the chance to meet with Elders, Ministers and church members, and to hear more about the fellowship, mission, and activities happening in the local community. It was an encouraging and enriching time for all involved.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone at St John’s for their hospitality and generosity. The warm welcome — and delicious Welsh cakes — were very much appreciated!
