Members from five churches in the East Wales region met for a weekend of fellowship on June 24 and 25.
On Saturday 24 June, we all made our way to Bailey Street Uniting Church in Brynmawr. There we heard a short history of the town before heading off for a walk. After an hour we had built up quite an appetite and were well fed by delicious fish and chips.

On Sunday 25 June, we met at Ebenezer URC, Pontnewynydd, for a Songs of Praise. Each church had chosen their favourite hymn and spoke a little about it before we sang them with gusto. This was followed by a tea with very tasty cakes this time. Unfortunately, we enjoyed the singing so much I forgot to take photos!
Favourite hymns included:
Crown him with many crowns
Dear Lord and Father
At the name of Jesus
What a friend we have in Jesus
My God I thank you
Lord for the years
A good time was had by all!
With thanks to Revd Branwen Rees
