Albany Church in Haverfordwest is celebrating having achieved the Eco Church Bronze Award

The perfect opportunity to mark this award was at the Eco Church Roadshow held at Albany on Saturday, 16th November. Friends from across Pembrokeshire joined together to learn more about the Eco Church scheme and the possibilities that it provides in encouraging a far greener outlook for both churches and individuals.

Joined by many of the Synod Support Team, including Eileen Newington, the Synod Green Advocate, and Delyth Higgins who is the Eco Church Officer for Wales, members of Albany were pleased that the Bronze Award is now marked by bilingual plaques on the church’s noticeboard.

Albany Church’s Minister, Rev Hugh-John Wilson, commented that it was a pleasure to welcome the Eco Church Roadshow to Haverfordwest. ‘Albany is now committed to working towards a greener future. The Bronze Award is a step on a continuing journey which the Church is seeking to embrace. We are delighted to celebrate it in the presence of many of the Synod Team.’
