Van Road United Reformed Church in partnership with the Van-guard Centre held an Art Exhibition during Christian Aid Week to help raise funds for Christian Aid. Organised by a local art group, local artists were given the opportunity to submit up to 3 paintings for a small charge and were encouraged to provide a further donation for any painting sold.
The exhibition also included a raffle of art and artist materials and the Church offered teas and coffees to all the visitors. Those that attended appreciated the range and variety of art that was displayed and a number of paintings were sold.
The result was over £400 being raised for Christian Aid.
