Mrs. Kathy Ricketts of Maesyronnen Chapel has been nominated to receive Maundy Thursday money at a ceremony in St Asaph Cathedral on 2nd April. Usually presented by the monarch, the nomination is for services to the church and is made to a number of men and women every year equal to the age of the King, so this year there will be 77 men and 77 women. Kathy has recently retired after 35 years as secretary at Maesyronnen – she came to the role in 1981 as she was the only one in the congregation who had a typewriter!! Together with elders Clive Ricketts (Kathy’s husband) and Fred Lloyd, they have ensured that the chapel is still in good health for the next generation. We wish her a happy and memorable day!
