LyCiG Conference

Leading Your Church into Growth – took place between 24th and 26th November. Delegates from across Wales joined together.

I picked Glenis up at 9.15 to begin our journey to The Hayes Conference Centre in Derbyshire.  I suggested that we share a quick prayer asking God to get us there safely, which He did PTL. But He had His work cut out!

There were many roundabouts and why is it always “take the fourth exit’? We went round one roundabout three times, obvs the SatNavs fault!

We arrived at The Hayes and as it was my first time there I was in awe of the beautiful building and gardens.

A lovely man welcomed us, and we had a tour before lunch, and then had our first lesson on ‘creating a prayerful culture ‘ led by the wonderful Louise and the LyCig team.

There was food….. lots of lovely food served by a great team of people.

It was a privilege to be part of the Welsh team, and to meet URC Christians from around the country.  There with the same goal as us, to share Gods word and lead our churches into growth. The fellowship we shared, singing with hearts full of joy. Holy Communion and going forward to be anointed.  All will stay in my heart for ever.

On the journey home, it was much easier at those pesky roundabouts as I was told to take the first exit!!
