Synod Funds
Mission Development Fund
Amount available £10,000 Grant or Repayable grant of up to £50,000.
This fund seeks to:
a) Promote projects for Mission Development, using the Vision2020 statements as a starting point. It will not fund solely routine building maintenance or repairs. It can be used as a match funding/enabling resource to provide access to wider fundraising, in particular, match-funding.

Daphne and Bethan Fund
Amount available not fixed but generally no more than £1,000 Grant.
This fund seeks to:
a) Fund attendance by Young People (defined as under 25yrs.) – as a group or as an individual at Christian events, meetings, residential holidays
b) Contribute to the development of projects to foster links between Children and Young People within Churches.

Osborne Resource Fund
Amount available up to £500 repayable from any profits of publication
This fund seeks to:
a) Encourage the production of material all forms (e.g. electronic, web-based, printed, etc.), which contribute to Synod Themes and Objectives and can be eventually used by the whole Synod. No publication will be considered that is deemed to undermine the stated objectives of the United Reformed Church, The National Synod of Wales and the URC (Wales) Trust Company Ltd.

Livingstone Trust
Amount available not fixed but generally no more than £1,000 Grant.
The fund seeks to:
a) Assist suitable church people to visit a Church (being a member of CWM) to participate in a CWM youth workshop or similar projects.
b) Assist a minister in training to spend part of an internship year in another country to learn from and experience work of a member church and how it is involved in the mission.
c) Enable a church leader or church worker from a member church of CWM to spend a sabbatical period in Wales.
d) Note of the ways in which the ecumenical relationships of the URC in Wales involve it in projects or exchanges of personnel in and with churches of countries not currently in partnership with CWM.

Monroe Legacy Fund (available to Churches within the Pembrokeshire Region only)
Amount available up to £5,000 within a yearly £15,000 ceiling
This fund seeks to:
a) Promote projects for Mission Development, using the Vision2020 statements as a starting point.

National Funds
Church Building Fund
Amount available up to £25,000
This fund seeks to:
a) Promote projects for Mission Development, using the Vision2020 statements as a starting point which involves the adaptation, extension or purchase of buildings. It will not fund solely routine building maintenance or repairs. It can be used as a match funding/enabling resource to provide access to wider fundraising, in particular, match-funding.

Vision 2020 Grants
Amount available Special Project Grant £1,000 3 Year Developmental Grant £6,000
This fund seeks to:
Support the implementation of Vision 2020 objectives via two categories of Mission Grants:
1. Special project grants
a) A grant may be used for a one-off Mission Project for example, starting a Church Holiday
Club, helping fund a local week of Mission etc.
2. Three year developmental grants for mission projects/organisations
a) A grant may be used for a longer term project or programme.

Please contact the Property Officer – Mrs Suzanne Cole or Synod Treasurer – Chris Atherton for support and advice for fundraising opportunities outside of URC based funds.
For instance, the following fund is available to all Churches:
Local Authority Based Funds
Welsh Church Acts
Amount available generally up to £5,000 (though each Local Authority has its own ceiling)
This fund seeks to:
a) To provide monies to support the maintenance of church buildings in the context of providing facilities to the Communities that the Church serves.
