Time capsule discovery makes news

A time capsule from the 1930s was discovered at the former Northop URC by Wales and West Housing during their redevelopment of the site – as reported by BBC Wales Today.

The well-preserved capsule contains photographs and documents from the chapel’s founding in 1879 and its rebuilding in 1932. Northop URC closed in 2017 and was sold to Wales and West Housing as part of the Faith in Affordable Housing project led by Housing Justice Cymru, for the construction of six affordable and environmentally-friendly homes.

The time capsule discovery was featured on the BBC Wales Today news programme and on the BBC website.
