Black History Monthly– because Black History is too important to leave until October!
Black History Monthly takes place on the third Monday of each month via Zoom, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Each session will have a different emphasis – including books, films and poetry – to help us discover some of the many achievements we may not have realised are attributable to Black people.
On Monday 15 March, the session focusses on the Kairos Document, which sprang from the anti-apartheid struggle in 1980s South Africa. Further information and details for joining the Zoom meeting are available here.
Black History Monthly is an initiative from the URC Legacies of Slavery task group.
