Mission Statement

To train, enable, encourage and challenge congregations, ministers and individuals to develop as God’s people for effective, faithful and relevant living in their community and nation through mutual support and Christian education.

To enable congregations and individual to discover and face mission opportunities and tasks within their communities and to support them as they accept these challenges.

Synod has two training & development officers to work with churches.

The Training & Development Officer, North, Revd David Salsbury, covers Mid and North Wales.  The Training & Development Officer, South, Revd Alison Davis covers East, South, West Wales, Bridgend United Area and the Pembrokeshire Forum. They work together organising Synod-wide training & development opportunities.

The officers are part of the Training & Development Team, all of whose members are available to work with and help churches when they are asked.

Our task is to seek to help churches as they look at their mission. We can be asked to visit a church at any time, to kick start the process, to help the process along.

We will attend elders’ meetings, church meetings or organise day consultations. Our task is to respond to the needs of the church and to support the members of the churches as they continue to be God’s people.
