the story of a twentieth century christian minister KEITH FORECAST The story of one man’s life from 1935 to the present day, during a period of enormous change. The author offers not just ‘his story’ but comment on life in Church and Nation in twentieth century Britain.
A minister of the United Reformed Church since 1960, Keith Forecast served in four pastorates, in Bristol, Plymouth, Cardiff and London, and three other church-related posts. He was moderator of the General Assembly of the United Reformed Church from 1989–90 and then moderator of the North Western Synod, based in Manchester, for eight years from 1992. Over the last 47 years, therefore, he has seen both Church and Nation from a wide variety of angles.
About the author: Keith Forecast was born in Hertfordshire in 1935. He left school in Cambridge in 1954 and did national service in the RAF for two years before attending Cambridge University. He was ordained in 1960 in what was then the Congregational Union of England and Wales. He now lives in active retirement in North Wales.
